Delegation of the Ukrainian Parliament was headed by Borys Tarasiuk, Chairman of the Committee on European Integration and Head of the Deputy´s Group on Inter-Parliamentary Liaison.
Within the scope of the visit, members of Ukrainian delegation met the deputies of both chambers of the Romanian Parliament, namely, M.Geoana, Romanian Senate Speaker, T.Corlăţean, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate, V.Hrebenciuc, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, heads and members of the parliamentary group of friendship with Ukraine.
The participants of negotiations discussed current conditions and prospects of development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Romania, promotion of cooperation at the level of Committees and Groups of Friendship of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Romanian Parliament, enhancement of the role of legislative bodies of both countries in the development of bilateral relations in political, economic and humanitarian fields, concerning transfrontier and regional cooperation.
